Skilled Occupations List - 485 Applicants or Holders at 8 February 2010

The Minister for Immigration announced on 8 February that a new Skilled Occupations List would be introduced from 1 July 2010.

However, he also announced that people who had applied for or been granted skilled graduate (subclass 485 or "TR" visas) would be able to apply under the current SOL.

The skilled occupations list applicable to 485 holders was released on 23 June 2010.

The list is similar to the current ASCO-based Skilled Occupations List. It applies to any person who either applied for or held a subclass 485 skilled graduate visa as of the 8th of February 2010, or people who held an eligible student visa on 8 February and who are applying for a skilled graduate visa after 1 July 2010.

Such applicants can apply for any general skilled visa under this list until 31 December 2012.
