Established Business in Australia Visa - Points Table
Part 1 - Business Attributes
A "main business" is one in which:
- You, or you and your spouse hold at least a 10 per cent shareholding;
- You are actively involved in and responsible for the management of the business
- Which is actively operating, that is, not set up primarily for passive or speculative purposes.
You may combine up to two main businesses to calculate points under this factor.
Points are awarded if the main business(es) of the applicant employ Australian residents or citizens. The business(es) must employ 3 or more full-time employees (or a number of part-time employees working an equivalent number of hours) each of whom is not a member of the family unit of the main applicant and is an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand Citizen.
60 points are awarded if the main business(es) meet one of the following criteria for the period of 12 months immediately preceding the making of the application:

Part 2 - Age
The Age of the applicant at the time of application must be within one of the following age ranges for the corresponding number of points to be awarded:

Part 3 - Language Ability
The Language Ability of the applicant must meet one of the following standards for the corresponding number of points to be awarded (Note: this is determined at the time of decision):

Part 4 - Net Assets
Net Assets of the applicant (or the applicant and his/her spouse together) at the time the application is made must be equal to or greater than one of the following amounts for the corresponding number of points to be awarded:

Note: Only assets in Australia, or assets capable of being transferred to Australia within 2 years of a Business Owner Visa being granted to the applicant can be counted in relation to this score. This does not mean that the applicant intends to transfer the said assets to Australia, so long as they are capable of doing so. Assets may include both business investments and personal assets, for example cars, jewellery, furniture, property, cash, bank deposits, bonds, shares, loans made to other parties, and any other possessions the value of which could be transferred to Australia within 2 years. There are a number of other criteria that will have to be satisfied before this visa can be approved.
The pass mark for this test is 105.
