Department of Immigration Suspends Offshore GSM Program

The Department of Immigration announced today that they will not accept applications for the following subclasses after the 7th of May 2010: These are the offshore General Skilled Migration subclasses.

As a result, it will not be possible to lodge in these subclasses until further notice. The Department of Immigration has indicated that this situation will continue until the new Skilled Occupations List comes into effect on 1 July 2010.

This change does not affect onshore applications for skilled migration by international students.
