Below is a list of occupations which have been identified as being in demand in Australia.  This list is called the Migration Occupations in Demand List (or MODL).

From 8 February 2010 the MODL has been revoked for the purposes of applying for general skilled migration, unless you either:

<li>Held a <a href='http://www.acacia-au.com/skilled-graduate-485.php'>skilled graduate visa</a> as of 8 February 2010; or </li>
<li>Had applied for a skilled graduate visa as of this date</li>
</ul>
