This is a list of the occupations in demand in Queensland for the skilled regional sponsored visa.

The list is current as of 01/07/2009.

Special Requirements for International Students

From the 17th April 2009 new requirements have been put in to place for onshore Queensland nominations lodged by international students. Applicants must have:
  • Finished their studies in Queensland
  • Job offer in Queensland in their occupation
  • Competent English (minimum of 6 in all 4 components of IELTS).

Concessional English

Concessional competent English is not available in Queensland. As a result, you must meet the usual threshold English language requirements for the visa.
